Unknown gunmen suspected to be armed bandits attacked a
filling station at Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State, killing
two people and injuring two others.
The gunmen who reportedly escaped through a nearby bush, carted away huge amount of money.
When contacted, Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), DSP Mohammed Haruna, confirmed the incident.
“On 13/6/2014 at about 6 p.m, unknown gunmen stormed
Zunnuraini filling station, Giade, shot sporadically, killed two people
and injured two others.
“Suspects carted away unspecified amount of money and escaped to unknown destination.
“Police detectives led by the DPO in Giade visited the scene and
rushed casualties to the hospital. Meanwhile, investigation is in
progress and effort is being intensified to arrest the fleeing
suspects,
In a separate event, the police in the state have also confirmed the kidnapping of a seven-year-old.
“Also, we received a report that unknown persons Kidnapped Yunusa
Musa, a seven-year-old behind Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi.
“But alarm was raised and the students went on rampage, burnt the
suspects Honda Henesy Vehicle and started burning tyres at the school
gate.
“Combined Security Forces rushed to the scene, and brought the situation under control.,
They rescued the Victims and arrested the following suspects who were
beaten to stupor by the mob: Danladi Abdullahi, Mal Abubakar Ibrahim,
Alh. Mohd Ali All, males of Zaria town in Kaduna State.
“Exhibits recovered include cash sum of 117,555 Naira only, five handsets and a burnt vehicle plate No. BK 744-GWA,
