Mechanical Engineer-turned Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike has pointed accusing fingers at some Nollywood bigwigs for sleeping with actresses in exchange of roles.

The Nollywood actor, who had marital challenges earlier this year has made it known in a recent interview how sad he is with the modus operandi of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria. He made it known that the Ibinabo Fiberesima-led tenure which is still ongoing can only be compared to the biblical Sodom and Gomorrah, where producers sleep with actresses to give them role while they practice homosexuality with the males.
PulseNG made it known that while addressing newsmen at the 2nd edition of the City People’s Political Award held recently in Lagos, the Imo State born actor, revealed that the Nollywood is full of decays which must not be transferred to the next set of fresh generation that will opt in their career.
The actor who is seen as a controversial one because of his straight forward reactions on issues that bother round the film industry in Nigeria has been involved in a running battle with the body since he declared his intention to lead the guild, and believes he is the only one who can rescue what he calls a dying movie industry.
Emeka went on to mention names of people who he feels are ‘ruining’ the tune of events in the Nigeria movie industry. He was quoted saying:

”There are five people who have taken the laws of Nigerian movie industry into their hands. They are Emma Ogugua, Murphy Stephen, Sunny McDon, Okey Bakassi and Ifeanyi Dikeh. These five people registered Actors Guild of Nigeria as their personal business. No other individual can come in.

My first concern is to clean up Nollywood, clean up AGN. Every Nigerian youth want to act movies now, what future are we leaving for them? Where are they going to write their names?

The two bedroom in Surulere where they would ask you to come and grace their beds before they give you roles? Where they would make you join a gay group or lesbian group before they talk to you? 

Nollywood has gotten so bad that you must either strip and grace their beds or join the gay or lesbian group to belong.

The people at the helm of affairs are the ones killing Nollywood. Some of us the well-known actors don’t even know their rights. I dare say it again, they don’t. Nobody can come out to challenge me.

We built this industry with pain. Those who are at the helm of affairs now, people don’t even know them in the movies. They just came in and messed everything up.

Ibinabo has been acting as the president of AGN for years now, but with her case as an ex-convict, do you have any moral justification to recognize her as the president? The court case is still on and the war continues.

That wasn’t the industry I founded. My daughter will not to go into that industry tomorrow and they would say she must sleep with one of them to get a role. Neither would my son be a part of Nollywood that is full of immoralities.”

Rev. Okotie Calls For Oritsejafor’s Resignation As CAN President Over $9.3Million Botched Arms Deal Scandal

Rev. Chris Okotie of the Household of God Church has called for the immediate and swift resignation of Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor as President of Christian Association of Nigeria [CAN] over the $9.3million botched arms deal scandal in which Oritsejafor’s private jet was involved in.
Okotie took to his facebook to share a piece about the scandal, read below;
The recent seizure by the South African authorities of $9.3m found in a private jet owned by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has aggravated the image problem of this country at a time when the narrative of this government is brimming with negatives under the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The South African government took the action on the alleged charge that the undeclared $9.3m found in the plane might have been laundered. This revelation came when the dust generated by the seemingly dubious donation of the jet to Pastor Ayo is yet to settle. His friendship with the President has been at the centre of the controversies that mark his explosive tenure as the leader of the eponymous religious organization in Nigeria.
Not that it is a sin to be the President’s Pal, but when such relationship becomes provocatively patronizing, or self-serving, it is unacceptable. The Pastor does not show restraint in the way he goes about, publicly hobnobbing with the President as if he is the Chaplain of Aso Rock. This certainly has compromised the integrity of his office as CAN President and this latest incident is just the climax of embarrassing incidents we can’t tolerate any longer.
Considering the collateral damage Pastor Ayo’s close relationship with the President has done to the Christian community, it is fit and proper for the Pastor to resign immediately as CAN President to salvage what remains of the battered image of the association.
This is without prejudice to the on-going investigation on the matter. Denials of his culpability by the Federal Government, CAN officials and his own recent defense, does nothing to reduce the moral burden this whole saga places on his shoulders....continue after the cut...

Two NSCDC Officers Over Murder Of Boat Owner In Bayelsa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, is once again in the eye of the storm after two of its officers were arrested for causing the death of a boat owner, Akunama Agunza.

For their alleged complicity in the murder of one Akunama Agunza, a 25-year-old boat owner, the Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested of two officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
The two NSCDC officials are alleged to have conspired with some other unidentified persons in the incident that led to the drowning of the boat owner.
News reports have it that the deceased was allegedly arrested after he attempted to secure the release of his wooden boat impounded by the illegal bunkering task force set up by the Southern the Ijaw Local Government Area.

Scientists Prove That There Is Life After Death

The existence of life after death is a universal question. However, recent research provided prooves that consciousness may continue even after death.

Scientists conducted a four-year study of more than 2,000 patients who had suffered cardiac arrests. The research spanned cases at 15 hospitals in the UK, U.S. and Austria. The findings revealed nearly 40 per cent of those who survived described some kind of ‘awareness’ during the time when they were clinically dead before their hearts were restarted.
