According to onlookers,Wizkid was stopped and questioned,of which he initially tried talking his way through but after one of the soldiers stamped his palm ferociously on wizkid’s face,it became a situation of weeping&pleading,...Meanwhile,Wizkid’s entourage had run for their lives,knowing of the recent violence caused by Soldiers in the city of Lagos.

Minor tsunami hits northeastern Japan after strong quake!#%

A minor tsunami hit Miyagi prefecture in Japan early Saturday after a strong 6.8-magnitude quake jolted the country's northeastern Pacific coast, prompting advisories for regions including around the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant.

Baby's bucket lift: Adorable moment a tiny tot had to be taken to hospital after she got herself wedged in a metal pail while mum washed the kitchen floor.

Curious toddlers can end up in the strangest of places when they learn to walk and start exploring.

But the mother of this youngster was shocked to turn around while cleaning and find her daughter stuck fast in a bucket.

Little Minnie Snodgrass had to be removed by firemen after clambering into the pail while her mother, Gemma, was mopping the kitchen floor of the family home in Conisborough, South Yorkshire.

Mrs Snodgrass said she popped upstairs for a moment before finding her 16-month-old giggling in the bucket.
'She must have climbed in, sat down and got wedged. I had just mopped the kitchen floor and emptied the bucket,' she explained.

'I went upstairs and I heard Minnie's four-year-old brother Matthew shout "Mum, Minnie's stuck". I picked up the bucket and panicked when I couldn't get her out.'

Six teenagers arrested for looting Savannah bank

Six young men were yesterday arrested by a team of anti- robbery policemen team attached to Area A Police Command, Lion Building around 8: 30 am, while they were looting properties from Savannah bank, at Broad Street, in Lagos Island.

An eye witness, who witnessed the incident told Saturday Vanguard that he observed that the arrested armed robbers were all teenagers between the ages of 18 to 20.

Some residents of the area who gathered at the crime scene identified some of the boys, saying that they had been tormenting residents of the area for a very long time.

They commended the Area Commander, Imohimi Edgal for the quick response of the policemen and the reduction of crime in the area.

Saturday Vanguard gathered that the suspects whose names were Ibrahim Luka, Kunle Malik, Sheriff Lawal , Tnde Basiru, Arif Sarumi, Lukman Ojikutu and Fidelis Joshua have been carrying out the dastardly act for a long time before the policemen were alerted following a tip-off from residents.

Some of the suspects,who tried to escape by attacking the policemen with cutlasses were shot in the leg by the policemen who were led by one Sargent...

DSS Arrest Kidnapper Of Jonathan’s Uncle

The Department of State Security (DSS) has apprehended the kidnappers of Chief Nitabai Inengite, the uncle of President Goodluck Jonathan, who was abducted from Otuoke community in Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, last February.

The kidnappers, who were paraded at the DSS headquarters in Abuja yesterday, comprised a 400-level student of the University of Jos, Plateau State, Eldred Jonah, 30; Raphael Inengesi, 32; Ibeabuchi Inya, 29; Oreva Abridi, 29; Tammy Agbai, 29; and a traditional doctor, Felix Onuoh, 48.
DSS also paraded another set of kidnappers who were involved in the abduction of two sisters – Ejura and Unekwu Opaluwa – at Karmo, Abuja on June 8.
The suspects are Oyemire Asagba, 29 (aka Paul/Sky); Sunday Attah, 30 (aka Shyne); Zacheaus Salami, 30 (aka ‘D’ armourer); Victor Bassey, 32; a driver, Sani Mohammed, 23; and Aragba Ademo, 33 (aka IT/Topson).
Others included Ojo Gambo, 22; Haruna Asama, 38; Dikko Iko, 22; and Mohammed Adamu, 20 (aka Mikifi/Abu)...continue after the cut...

Nigeria Loses Over N15 Billion Annually By Signing BASA – Chairman AON

The Executive chairman of Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON), Captain Nogie Meggison, said Nigeria has lost the fortunes it would have made, estimated to be over N15 billion annually, by signing lopsided Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) with other countries whose airlines enjoy many frequencies into Nigeria without corresponding indigenous airlines operating into their countries.
Even the royalties that some of these airlines pay to Nigeria is insignificant to the revenue Nigeria would have earned if it had signed agreement that gives equal benefits to each country.

Nogie who is the CEO of Jed Air, gave example with South Africa Airways (SAA) and Emirates and explained that when the two airlines representing their countries signed an agreement, SAA said that it had only the capacity to operate two...

 Rumeysa Gelgi, a 17-year-old girl from Turkey has been named the Worlds tallest female teenager. At 7ft tall ,she received the Guinness World Record award  in her hometown of Safranbolu, Karabük.
Rumeysa whose height is caused by a condition,Weaver Syndrome( a rare genetic disorder that causes rapid growth)is also an 11th grade high school student and her parents and older siblings, are all ‘normal’ height.
